Main prize of the International Documentary Film Festival “Khouribga” in Morocco for the film Destiny

The Iranian documentary film “Destiny” received the main prize of the international documentary film festival “Khoribga” in Morocco.

According to Artmag.ir, the documentary film “Destiny” directed by “Yasser Talebi” won the main prize of the 14th Moroccan International Documentary Film Festival and “Mohammed Al Amin”, the translator of Iranian literature, also held a master class on “Iranian Cinema and Literary “Heritage”.

The grand prize of the 14th edition of the Khouribga International Documentary Film Festival in the city of Khouribga in Morocco, was awarded to the documentary film “Destiny” directed by “Yaser Talebi” and jointly produced by “Elaha Nubakht” and “Yaser Talebi” and produced by Iran, France, Germany and Norway, and “Mohammed Amin” Iraqi poet and translator living in the Netherlands. received this award on behalf of Talebi.

In the film review section of this festival, Mohammad Al Amin, the translator of Iranian literature, held a master class on “Iranian Cinema and Literary Heritage” and analyzed the movie “Shirin” directed by Zindayad “Abbas Kiarostami” and the movie “Hafiz”. directed by “Abolfazl Jalili” and answered the questions of the critics present in this specialized meeting about the relationship between “Iranian cinema and literature”.

The methods of famous directors of Iranian cinema, in taking inspiration from human themes from Persian classical poetry; The main subject of this master class was “Mohammed Al Amin”.

The members of the jury of the 14th Moroccan International Documentary Film Festival were; Ahmed Touba, head of the jury and academic director of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Bouchta Farqzaid, film critic and university professor, Loubna El Younssi, director and producer, Lidiya Njili, artist A personification of Ukraine and Faysal Aboutoufayl, a university professor.

The result of judging the works of participating artists in this period of the festival was announced as follows:
– Grand prize for the documentary film “Destiny” directed by “Yaser Talebi” from Iran
– Cash prize and best director prize for the film “Toxic Hope” by “Salim Sab” from Lebanon
– Jury award to the documentary film “The Journey” directed by “Said Zaribeh” from Morocco
– Audience Award for the documentary film “L’Faro” directed by Faten Khalkhal from Morocco
– The Youth Cinema Award also went to the documentary film “Milolo” made by “Mohammed Reza Al-Jaafari” from Morocco

The 14th edition of this film event under the management of Dr. Habib Al-Nasseri and with works by directors from Iran, France, Morocco, Germany, Lebanon, Norway, Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Denmark and Senegal and specialized meetings and film reviews; It was held on December 20 and 23, 2023, in the city of Khoribaga in Morocco.

This festival seeks to help develop the capabilities of citizens in the field of documentary cinema and also strives to make the city of Khoribga a space for the flourishing of talents, sharing ideas and also understanding outstanding works of art in an open framework for educational, intellectual and creative concepts.
