Tales of Shab-e Cheleh narrated by artists

The virtual page of “Tehran Stories” prepares two 40-minute programs with the presence of artists at the same time as Yalda night, in order to preserve the old Iranian tradition in the absence of this year’s Yalda Night periodicals.

The designer and editor of the “Stories of Shab Cheleh” program, referring to the need to eliminate periodicals on this year’s Yalda night to prevent the spread of corona, announces the preparation of a program using different genres in cyberspace, which will be followed by the participation of artists in Keep the memories associated with these days alive.

Reza Dabirinejad, as the designer and editor of this program for Yalda Nights, continues: We intend to take this virtual circle to people’s homes through the experiences of different people so that our old traditions will remain and live in people’s minds.

According to him, according to the plans made, on Thursday and Friday (December 17 and 18), special programs will be produced live for 40 minutes from 8 pm so that people can use them for Yalda Night as well.

He adds that in these special programs, some cultural and artistic figures express their collection of stories, narratives and memories from the nights of Yalda in the past years, adding: Artists such as Ehteram Boroumand, Shermin Naderi, Mohammad Ali Bahmani, Masoud Forootan, Dr. Nasser Takmil Homayoun, Loris Cheknavarian, Ardeshir Rostami and Arash Avesta perform their narrations in the form of an online program. Also, the performance of a nightclub and old Tehran poetry readings and songs related to Yalda are planned in these items.

He emphasizes: The important point in the implementation of these programs is the recording of all items by mobile phone, and each of the artists records their own programs at home, and in fact, in the production of the program, social distance is observed.

He also points out that Nurses’ Day coincides with Yalda Night and that part of the program is dedicated to the country’s health defenders and nurses.
